2 more redshirts peeled.

Rieke surprises me.

Also, Antonio Smith did not play.

But he dressed, which is an encouraging sign that he'll be back this week, along with Corey Partridge (who didn't dress, but we hear he'll be back anyway... I mean, he DRESSED, he just didn't "dress". Ya know? :P )

DJ Youg........

I wanna see more of him in DT rotation. I dont' know how much PT he's been getting but I think he could use a litte more. He's our DT of the future and I'd rather see him lined up with Minturn and Davis rather than B.Williams at DT and put Williams at DE more often.

Coach continued to play an obviously less than 100% P.J. Pope last year in meaningless games versus Boise State and Temple so I hope he learned his lesson and will keep Smith and Corey on the sidelines so they can fully heal.

The Boise State game was not meaningless. Maybe in terms of the MAC it was, but it was a nat'l TV game and we laid a huge egg. That game still sticks in some people's minds, most notably probably some potential recruits. No TV game is meaningless -- they are extremely important.

But I agree about playing kids that are hurt if there is a further chance of injury. From what Spart said, it sounded as if Corey was nearing 100%. I hope he can go on Sunday.

The "coach" does not even make those decisions. The medical staff, including the head trainer and team physician, make the decision on when any player is "cleared" to play.

Have you been out to practice everyday? Would you even recognize him if he bumped into you? You said you don't even know how much playing time he is getting, but yet you want to tell the coaches who to play him with, and how much time he should be playing........GET REAL!!! I am about ready to puke, listening to all of these posters, that many didn't even play high school football or basketball, tell a coach that has been in the business 20 years or more and played the game at the collegiate levelor maybe even the professional level, how to do their job.
