Teddy Piepkow and Rob Warren coaching at Perrysburg

There was an article in the Sentinel this week about these 2 former Falcons. Matt Kregel, another Falcon from the 90's is the new head coach for Perrysburg and brought in Piepkow and Warren as 2 of his assistants. I don't know if the Sentinel is online, but the article appeared in the Sept. 14 issue. Perhaps someone could get it in the forum--I don't have access to it myself.

The Sentinel isn't online, but if someone doesn't put it up here, keep your eye on the University site, they've been doing a great job of posting BG-related features from The Blade and Sentinel on bgsufalcons.com this season!
(As for their choice of school... no one's perfect.

Any good players ever come out of Perrysburg? It would be nice if they do since we have coaches that are BG grads.

No not really, (at least not that I remember). A friend of mine I graduated with signed with Army, but never actually made the team, ended up playing rugby for Army. We had another kid probably close to or over 300lbs, but I think he ended up going on to wrestle. I remember one other kid signing with Miami, again a big lineman type player. So really I only know of about 3 college level players coming out of Perrysburg. I don't know about the last 4 years since I have been down here in KY. My dad teaches at P-burg now, but he hasn't mentioned any stars coming out.

Talked with my dad today a little bit about Perrysburg's coaches. It sounds like head coach Matt, has found former BG
and UT players to make up his staff. The team is playing pretty well, but lets just say that falconboy would have such a hard time dealing with their small size that his head might explode.

So anyone good is going to have whispers of both BG and UT in his ear.
P-burg is just a upper middle class town. Don't get that many great skill players and they don't grow them large either. I'm pretty sure more students sign to play soccer than football from P-burg. (OSU's starting goalie is a p-burg grad)

Maybe he can build some good players and along the way say how much TU sucks. lol
I know that TU likes to recruit kids from Westerville South here in Columbus. So far the Wildcats are 4-0 and are second in Division I Reg. 3. They have two very good players in QB Rocco Pentello and WR BJ Cunningham. Both are seniors.
Pentello's dad is the coach of South. Rocky Pentello. I talked to him a few weeks ago and he will most likely be a safety in college. Not real sure about Cunningham but he is good.
Pentello and Amstutz have a pretty good relationship Stutz has said to Pentello that he wants his best player coming to Toledo every year. Toledo has apparently made an offer to Pentello again not sure about Cunningham.

BG did that once a few years ago, too.

Yeah, that really bugs me as a former WSHS student and current BG student. Every time I watch Toledo's games I cringe knowing I once shared a school with those kids. It was nice to have them on our team, but sucked once they were playing against BG.
Current players: Nick Moore, Steve Odom and Robin Bailey
Former players: Lance Moore, maybe others.
I know of 3 or 4 other kids from the class after me at South who were very interested in Toledo as well, although most ended up going elsewhere on a different sport scholarship (lacrosse). I found myself wondering last night as I watched the Toledo v. Kansas game if Rocco Pentello would eventually make his way there as well. Our guidance office has a strong presence from both schools, actually. I remember they got me to apply to UT, but my counselor was a BG grad and showed me (and eventually my brother) the better option.
One thing I do know is that WSHS so far looks like they're going to be scary-good this season. Too bad they were never
too impressive when I was there. The only year they really shined, they mucked an undefeated season in week 1 of the playoffs.
