Stupid Akron is down 7-0 to CMU. This is why I don't bet football that often :(

Purdue up 11 at the half.

Kent State is on the Miami 6 yard line here in the first. The game is on Fox Sports Ohio......Kent State Fumbles on the 1-yard line Miami recovers.

Eastern Michigan is down 7-0 to Northewestern.

You gotta be STROKIN' me!

Akron trying to score before half, Getsy throws a pick, returned 95 yards for a touch. This is really why I don't bet football often.

Luckily I only have $10 on the game. On a whim I thought I'd play a little poker while watching the Buckeyes. I'm up about $275, so I got that going for me, which is nice :)

Kangaroo for dinner, anyone?

Char-Grilled Kangaroo Kebabs and Smoked Eggplant Puree

- 600 g Kangaroo fillet, trimmed and cubed
- 2 ts Coriander seeds, roasted and ground
- 1 ts Black pepper, freshly ground
- 2 Medium-sized eggplants
- 1 ts Garlic cloves, minced
- 25 ml Lemon juice
- 1 tb Tahini
- 1/2 ts Sea salt
- 50 g Yoghurt, plain
- 2 ts Parsley leaves, chopped.

Roll the 'roo cubes in the coriander and black pepper, coating lightly. Skewer thr 'roo and put on an oiled tray until ready to cook.

Grill the eggplants until skins are black and blistered. Cool slightly and skin them while still warm. Squeeze out the bitter juices. Mash the flesh with a large fork gradually adding the garlic, lemon juice, tahini, sea salt, parsley and yoghurt.

Grill the kebabs under (or over) high heat, brushing with oil to keep moist being careful not to toughen the meat. Spoon the eggplant puree onto the plates. Remove skewers and pile the meat cubes onto the puree. Serve immediately.

At one point, ESPN's bottom line had Northwestern up 175-3 on EMU. Never crossed my mind that it might be a typo. :-D

Maybe CMU has more non-qualifiers.

Yeah, 9-0 at the half, and it could be worse. Miami had a goal line stand and blocked a chip shot FG attempt.

The game is in Fox Sports Ohio -- and it's awful television, frankly. A small, quiet crowd.

The hypotheticals at the end of this Akron-CMU game point directly to why the new clock rules suck.
