I like how he picked UVA over WMU, but then brags about saying not to be surprised if WMU wins.

Nothing like a good hedge.

He changes the lines too, last week he went 1-8 ATS and claimed 4-5, this week he went 3-6 and claims 5-4, its useless.

Nick does a great job covering the MAC.

I find it very difficult to pick nits with his work, but if you must.......

No I seriously think he does a really good job. Its great reading the stats and information that he comes up with. He also usually does a pretty darn good job forecasting whats going to happen (see Week 1). My beef is that when he has a BAD WEEK ok admit it. Its college football, there are upsets all over the place and its hard to predict. So when you were wrong, ADMIT that you were wrong to show how crazy of an upset it was, instead of changing the spread in your favor, or lying about your prediction to be like "oh yeah I knew that was going to happen." I think people take offense to my strong positions that I take in college football, but hey I'll admit when I am wrong or when my predicitons were off. Its part of the lure of college football and making predicitons. It seems like it should be so easy, but it never is and anything can happen. I still like what he writes and will continue to read it, but I have lost all respect for it because he is basically post-dicting not predicting which is what I am looking for.

For those who say Nick cannot admit when he is wrong check the comments under the Kent/Miami recap that say:
“KSU football is a mess right now. Miami has dominated the series through the years and this week’s game may not be pretty” – well folks, this pick was way off - Nick
Now, for the ATS record, I just take what Nick gives me and post it each week. I will try to go over the records and make sure this is all 100% accurate, but I do not think there is anything intentional to any numbers that may be misrepresented. I know Nick very well and have found him to be a honest, upfront guy. I am sure that if anything is not accurate it is simply a honest mistake.

Please provide specific examples of how Nick's recap is incorrect about the ATS this week. According to my count, and I am no betting line guru mind you, I have him at 6-3 this week. He credited himself and we posted 5-4 and you are claiming 3-6.

Are you notified by some kind of batman like spotlight when someone posts something critical of Nick?

The only time you seem to participate in conversations around here is to update on your own site or argue about Nick's work....let's talk about the weather instead...or maybesome movies you might have seen. Something/anything to add soem variety...

I second that.

Did anyone hear if "Beer League" made it's $1 million this weekend?

$300,000 I believe.

Made a little more than that Drew but not much. Apparently it's still going to be going nationwide. A lot of theaters were pleased with the business that they did get and recommended it should be given a chance.

*Oh yeah, I agree with Flip. I've never opened the link but it keeps coming back every week.

Ok I am going to give it to you the facts straight that I got straight from his website, so be ready to swallow whatever it is that you believe in him. I'm going to post who he picks either for or against the spread, and then tell how much he won or lost by with the spread points included...

Week 2
Win- Buffalo(+23), won by 13

Losses- NCST(-10), lost by 13
Mich(-28), lost by 4
Army(-3.5), lost by .5
Purdue(-17), lost by 10
NIU(-15), lost by 30
EMU(+26), lost by 6
IU(-3.5), lost by 2.5
UT(-11), lost by 32

That is no doubt 1-8 against the spread and yet he claims 4-5... but of course he didnt mean to fudge 3 games... it was only a minor "mistake"

Week 3
Wins- UT(-4), won by 2 (I previously thought he lost bc he said UT by 8, but the spread was only 4, so we did end up winning it in OT)
BST(+17), won by 7
WMU(+9), won by 16
UB(+24), won by 6

Losses- NW (-17), lost by 9
Akron(-1.5), lost by 4.5
MiamiO(-11), lost by 13
BG(-5), tie which ='s loss in all forms of gambling, sorry buddy
Ohio(+16), lost by 4

So as you can see that he is 4-5 against the spread this week. Of course Nick claims a valiant 5-4, and IBLEEDMACGreen claims that he should have taken a 6-3? Either way you look at it, Nick is (5-13) ATS in the last 2 weeks (which I dont have a problem with). But claims he's eh (9-9) ATS which I do have a problem with! There are the facts infront of you, there is nothing left for me to prove...
