So that's what Freddie looked like sometime around the last time we lost to Kent State at home, huh? My how things have changed.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Freddie Falcon, September 28, 1968.
Classic. Hutch, what about the cowbell? I also remember all I wanted was the bazooka gum.Nati Hutch wrote:The 80s Falcons obviously ruled. With those giant hammers and the never ending pocket full of Bazooka gum, that was all a kid needed. Do they still carry those folding signs with "jokes"? Or have the wooden clapping hands? As you can tell, it's been a while since I've been up to BG for a game.

We do still have the gum, but it is now Super Bubble and not bazooka. THe bazooka was too hard to find in really large quantities. We still have joke signs, but it depends on the wit of the current birds. Of course, at times the recently departed Athletic Adminstration would come down on the very anti-sign side. I actually got in trouble for one in particular, though it may have been deserved. The wooden clapping hands broke during the GMAC bowl. They were a bit soggy, as we all were, and fell apart. If anyone wants to make more, that would be great. Wood-working was never a falcon's strength
