Not to be pessimistic, but I see us only winning, at most, 3 more games this season.

09/02 Wisconsin L 35-14
09/09 Buffalo W 48-40
09/16 at Fla Int'l W 33-28
09/23 Kent St L 38-3
09/30 at Ohio 2:00 PM (Prediction - Loss)
10/07 at #1 Ohio St 3:30 PM (Prediction - Loss)
10/14 E Michigan 4:00 PM (Prediction - WIN)
10/19 at C Michigan 7:30 PM (Prediction - Loss)
10/28 at Temple 1:00 PM (Prediction - WIN)
11/04 at Akron 1:00 PM (Prediction - Loss)
11/15 Miami (OH) 7:30 PM (Prediction - WIN)
11/21 at Toledo 7:00 PM (Prediction - Loss)

Anyone else want to give some predictions?

I said at the beginning of the season that only two things would surprise me - a perfect record and a winless record. Those are both off the board, so anything is possible, IMO.

One solid prediction, though: There will be two very loud fans at the Eastern Michigan game.

Just to let everyone know how optimistic (and realistic) I am that these young guys will get it together.

We lose to Ohio State, C Mich and Akron. The rest are all wins.....

Of course we could come around enough to win the C Mich and Akron games. But it will take alot of hard work and dedication and alot of luck. Many players will need to get healthy and stay that way. Especially AT.

Here it is Monday afternoon...and let the healing begin....optimism still prevails and that last forecast would make it a 7-5 Record.

And couldn't that also be Bowl "eligibleness"

In any event, regardless what happens between now and mid-November, if the only remaining win happens against Toledo...then the season isn't all that bad.

No can do on OU for my two. Have fun on your OU roadtrips...two years ago when Legacy Boy had a winning streak going for BG games we went down and had a good time. It was their homecoming and some of you might remember parking was pretty crowded...this year it is there Parents weekend.
Spoil it for them!

My heart and head are saying 2 different things right now. I'll stick with focusing on Ohio.

Sadly, history...

...does not favor the Falcons in 2006. BG hasn't had 6 straight winning seasons since 1971-76. Since then, our beloved alma mater has been the very definition of a streaky program. To wit :

1977-81 - 5 losing (counting a .500 mark in '81)
1982-85 - 4 winning
1986-90 - 5 losing
1991-94 - 4 winning
1995-2000 - 6 losing
2001-2005 - 5 winning

So this year, if we don't extend the winning streak, history tells us we're headed for a multi-year decline.

Of course, in the 22 seasons from 1955-76, BG had only one losing season. (That's the 1970 campaign, which we won't talk about.) Which is why there are so many Falcon faithful in the first place. You had a couple of generations there growing up in NW Ohio watching a team that almsot always won more than it lost.

I hope you are right. I'd love to see us turn it around. It doesn't feel like that, but every week is a new opportunity.

I said 8-4 this season, but one of those wins was against Kent State and we lost that one. That makes it a bit tougher for us to reach 8-4. We'd have to beat Toledo or C.Mich (games I had as losses) to get back on pace. We'd have to defend the Doyt the rest of the year and win in Athens, Philadelphia, and Akron to stay on pace as well. Assuming Anthony Turner doesn't get hurt the rest of the year (BIG if), we have a shot at it. If not, then we're pretty much screwed.

At this point I think 7-5 and 5-3 in the MAC is more likely.

7-5, (5-3)

I still have faith in this team...giving up on them now is ridiculous and won't help anyone's cause. Beat the Bobkitties.
