I'm telling you guys, its the road...

We've now won our last 5 games on the road/last 5 conference games on the road with today's win in Athens. And once again, it was a case of establishing momentum. We forced them into a missed FG try on their first drive, while we went down and scored, partly thanks to a fake punt call on 4th down that caught the Bobkitties off guard. Huge play. We just came out an punched them in the mouth right at the beginning and never gave up the momentum from there. Kinda similar to our last few road wins like Miami, Buffalo, and FIU this year even though FIU almost came back on us at the end.

We're just better on the road. I have a feeling that if this game was at home, the reverse would have happened. OU would have done something to hit us early and we would not have responded, kinda similar to the Kent game last week. From the moment Kent scored on the reverse play on their first play from scrimmage the game was over. I don't know how, I don't know why, but we have a problem playing at home, and we are damn good on the road. 6-4 in the last 10 games, 1-4 home, 5-0 away.

A complete reversal of recent conventional wisdom, but I'll take it for W's.

I didn't see the fake punt, could someone elaborate, please? When was it? Score at the time? Where on the field? How the play developed? TIA.

Our first drive, 0-0, I think we were at midfield at best.
