I love what I saw from these guys today! To bounce back and grind out a tough win on the road after what happened to this team last week, I take my hat off to each and every player on the team. Great job today! I'm proud to be Falcon!!! I felt this game was the most important one of the season, and I still feel that way. Yeah, we have a tough game at Ohio State up next and all, but I'm just hoping we can go down there and play well and stay healthy next week. I'm actually looking more forward to our game with EMU. I can't wait to get back to the Doyt. The loss to Kent State hurt, but we are still in the thick of things. Remember the path Akron took to win the MAC last year? There's still a good chance for us. But today, I just want to soak up this victory. This Saturday is 100 times better than the last. GO BG!!!

Excellent quote. It is amazing what a difference a week makes. I just hope someone can slow Kent down...these are their conference games left. We need them to lose at least twice in there.

Fri, Nov 17 Eastern Michigan

Great Stuff 33, i have to take my hat off to coach brandon and the players for this win! they were ready to play and each time the bobcats threatened, our defense stepped up with a big sack fumble or interception. The offense managed the game well and scored when they had to. Great win and honestly looking at the rest of the scheddy, after the OSU game we could run teh table. But lets take it one game at a time and lets pray to not get the crap kicked out of us at the shoe.
GO FALCONS!

What's amazing about this is that we will probably have to root for Toledo to knock them off on the 14th, otherwise I would say that they have it pretty much made seeing their remaining schedule. Honestly, it would not surprise me to see Kent run the table if they beat Toledo. Seriously, whos going to stop them. Certainly not the bobkitties, and I doubt EMU will put up much of a fight. That leaves Fuffalo and Balls Tate, not exactly teams you want to count on for an upset.

No. Ball State has pulled some upsets in Muncie in the past. And remember, if they lose once, that's not good enough. We would need them to lose at least twice.

And we have to win out. That will be tough.

Actually, I was dumb on this one. Ball State upset Akron in Muncie last season, which allowed us a chance to claim the MAC East division with a win over Toledo. Obviously that didn't happen, but if Akron had beaten Ball State that day in Muncie, then our game with Toledo would have had much less significance.
Given the topsy-turvy landscape of the MAC this season, mostly because of Kent State standing at 3-0, I wouldn't be surprised by anything, except maybe EMU winning a game this season. They suck. 33-14 loss to Louisiana Lafayette?! That's horrible.

Anything can still happen in the MAC and no one is out of it yet. There have been some eye-opening results so far: Ohio over NIU, WMU over UT, Kent State over Miami, BG & Akron. A few weeks ago we probably wouldn't have expcted to see some (if any) of these results. There's going to be some more "surprises" yet to come.

Somehow I don't think Kent beating Miami, BG, or Akron was a surprise anymore. The Golden Flashes are for real, and if they get by Toledo, like it or not, they will likely be the MAC East Champion this season.

I agree, but I said "A few weeks ago we probably wouldn't have expected to see some (if any) of these results." I don't think anyone three weeks ago would have said 0-2 Kent State would be 3-2 after trips to Miami, BG and a game vs Akron ahead. Kent State just might be the real deal, but I don't think anyone thought that a few weeks ago.

I just hope we start playing like the Doyt is our home field again. It hasn't felt like home in about two years.
