Quietly, our special teams are improving each week. Far from perfect but they are getting better. Coach Durkin deserves kudos for his work!!!!

Of course, this week will be a HUGE test. Their team speed is blinding.

GO FALCONS!!! SHOCK DA WORLD!

Ha, no kidding. Trying to contain Ted Ginn will be a total nightmare. If we keep him from running a couple back for TD's I will be elated. I'm actually very frightend at what OSU will do with our stupid formation. They could easily block all of them if they wanted to. I can only imagine what Durkin is thinking about this week.

Either go for it on fourth and manageable or have turner pooch it.

Kick it out of bounds on all kickoffs.

I watched the first quarter of yesterday's game and the announcers were drooling all over ginn. Every punt and kickoff it was better watch out for Teddy. The one kick off I saw he was stuffed at the 13. Does he have speed? Yes. He is also a lot of hype. Hell he should be on his third heisman by now.

Defensively the receiver I'm most worried about is the Gonzalez kid. Ginn is a nice deep threat but you can't keep your eye off that kid. Our freshmen will be tested. Biggest thing is to stop the run. Looks like their backs love to move it toward the sidelines.

Offensively I wouldn't be sad to see a few dump passes. They're most likely going to blitz the hell out of us. Short passes to the TE, Part and Barnes would be nice. I wouldn't doubt if we see a lot of running plays...like usual. Main thing is to go out there and have fun. Don't be afraid or timid of these guys. If you're going to play...play to win.

OSU will definitely blitz us, but it won't be as much as you might expect. They're a pretty complex blitzing defense, but I doubt that they'll bring much out of the ordinary for this game. I would imagine that they feel their front 4 should be able to get pressure by themselves without sendng too many LBs. Unless we can prove that wrong, I don't look for an exhorbinant amount of blitzing.

I want to see us play this game to win, but honestly the Browns have a better chance of winning the SB than we do of winning this game. One of my good buddies is getting married at 3:30 on Saturday. Honestly, I'm hoping that the game is not over before the cermony.

I don't doubt that Durkin will eventually be a great coach. In fact maybe a great HC here at BG. But I don't tend to applaud people for putting out fires they started.

I need to SEE this punt formation. As I've only made it to one game (and it was in Cleveland, and I hadn't seen my friends in a long time so my mind was not there), I've not yet been able to really check it out. Any help?

What the hell are you talking about?? Durkin was named ST coach THIS year, not last. In case you didn't know, last year we had the worst special teams in the country. This year started off rough but give the guy some credit. Durkin didn't START the ST mess but he's doing something about it...

I'd rather see Ellis kick the ball out of the end zone than kick the ball OOB.
