Okay, so I know this is silly of me, and I'm not actually suggesting that Corey should be moved to Quarterback. It just brought a smile to my face when I saw his current QB rating.

I hope you all find it equally amusing.
Go Corey Partridge!

The stat that made me smile the most?
12/13 XPs
3/4 FGs
You'd think with how scared we seem to be to cut Turner loose, his stats would be hangry. They look pretty good to me.

Let me clarify that my post was in no way intended to rip on Anthony Turner. My post was to put Corey Partridge in the spotlight, and hopefully bring a smile to a few people's faces.
Go Falcons!

NAME REC YDS YPR LONG TD

Sean O'Drobinak 8 122 15.3 59 1

It's funny..those stats above look like the Wisconsin stats for our receivers in the game last year!

Those make us happy too here in Florida! The kicking seems to be getting on track. And to think there will be THREE MORE YEARS of this after this one.....

Yeah Merrit Island !!!
I thought you might shy away given all of the lament over kicking ealry on.
That was one of the 3-4 most important signs from the OU VICTORY. I listened over the radio and with no voice inflection by the announcer "Ellis in for the kick, and the snap, it's up and good"
He sounded like it was an automatic...so maybe we're starting to pull out of the station where we heard "well what do you know, BG make a kick"
212 degrees!!!
And of the other things that made the list, the top one had to be Coach Studrawa found the missing pages from the '03 and '04 playbook!

Definitely great stats to see. I hope at least some of the students who were still overly sensitive about our kicking woes have started to see the light that Sean and Rojas have what it takes, and congrats to them on surviving a harsh environment for the first few weeks and really stepping up.

I told Sean to remember that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. He battled a groin pull before, and knew he could fight through this hip flexor strain. Those early special teams woes could have really rocked some players confidence, especially for those two young guys. But they fought through and I think that BGSU has a fine pair of kickers that will play very well for many years to come! I will say that, from my perspective and with the knowledge I have, the coaching staff handled these guys with just the right amount of ass kicking and encouragement.
GO FALCONS!!!!

Couldn't agree more.
I've actually traded e-mails with Sean a couple times since the off-season, and in addition to being a great kicker, he seems like a really great kid (who am I to call him a kid? He's only a couple years younger than me!).

More folks here should read this line - it's great to hear positive words about the coaching staff's approach from folks in the know.
