For those of you traveling to Columbus for the game keep in mind a couple of events going on Friday night.

At Germain Amphitheater on Friday, Toby Keith is performing.

At the Schott, Barbra Striesand is performing. Take out a second and third mortgage for tickets if you want to impress your woman or her parents.

At Nationwide the Blue Jackets open up against Vancouver. Tickets are still available. You can stop by Chiller North in Lewis Center (off US 23 between North of Worthington and south of Delaware) on the trip down from BG and you will only pay a $1 per ticket service charge versus the $5 that Kroger bends you over for. Call 740-549-0009 for directions.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau is having an "Experience Columbus Days" event this weekend. There are plenty of discounts at area establishments from Friday to Monday. Check out ExperienceColumbusdays.com or experiencecolumbus.com for more info.

And finally, from 8 pm on at Gordon Biersch in the Arena District (next to NWA), is a Falcon Club event. It will be packed with Falcons, CBJ fans, and other OSU fans in from out of town.

There is something for the whole family to do this weekend.

Go Falcons!

Thank god Im driving home for all of 10 hours to take my parents out for dinner in Toledo, only to turn around and come back extremelly early to host my friend, his fiance, and my other buddy here in Columbus.

If anyone needs any info about what does and does not fly for tailgaiting in Cbus let me know.

But make it simple... CUPS good... CANS & Bottles... BAD!

I am also in Columbus. There are so many of us. Perhaps we should get together to watch a game this year. Maybe a Tuesday nighter.

The Columbus chapter will have some watch parties for the Miami and Toledo games. Check out bgsualumni.com for more details.

I'll be in Columbus this weekend, as that's where I permanently reside (at least until after college) and it will be fall break. If there's any planned meeting up of AZZ-ers, I'd like to see if I might be able to attend. Of course, a severe limiting factor is the fact that I'm not yet 21 and from what I've seen, there seems to be a tendency towards bars with this crowd.

With the exception of Striesand this is one weekend I am really going to miss not being home.

I attended the 1992 game my Sr. year, and again in 97 and 03. This will be the first BG/OSU matchup which I wont be there. This was always a special week for me living in Columbus.

Not sure if it is going to be televised here in Iraq. They have not released the TV schedule yet for AFN.

See everyone soon. Getting closer.
