With Sebo finally done (wishful thinking?), will the Doyt see more home games? What effect will Temple joining the MAC have on scheduling? Will we ever learn how to use the fieldgoal nets?

Don't we need to actually be able to kick field goals to worry about that?

More home games, no. That's just something that is constant every year, about 50% are home, for everyone.

FG nets....why...it's too much fun to catch the ball and then try to escape the stupid event staff as they chase you for it.

Can't wait to see that place finished though.

We have at least six home games next season. Boise State and FIU come in non-conference, in addition to 4 MAC home games.

Well, the new AD in the paper said next year we would have a full set of six home games--unlike this year's 4/5. Six is more than both of those numbers.

So, more home games. Yes.

we aren't getting more home games because of any building. We would have 6 regardless. It's just a rotation, some years its 5, some 6 and if you're ohio state, it's 7 or 8.

Here's what I have based on our future schedule, our opponents schedules and from the MAC in terms of who plays who home and away. I think at one point the Pitt game was scheduled for 2008, but in Pitt's media guide, they have BG there in 2007.

@ Pittsburgh (Sept 1)
FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL (Sept. 15)
BOISE STATE (Sept. 29)
TBA - Non-Conference
OHIO
AKRON
TOLEDO
NORTHERN ILLINOIS
@ Miami
@ Kent State
@ Buffalo
@ Eastern Michigan

I think I've seen both for the Pitt game, too. Not that bye weeks ever come around in the first weeks of the season (and definitely not with the 12 game schedule compounded by shuffling for November weeknights), but an open date on Sept. 22 might save my then day-old marriage.

I wouldn't even try to guess at the MAC game for next season. Temple joins the slate, probably in the East. Maybe we stay in the East as well. Maybe we jump back to the West. At any rate, there is going to be some kind of unbalanced schedule with 7 East teams and 6 West. So if we stay in the East, there would only be 2 crossover games against the West. And you have to add a game against Temple in there somewhere too.

It's not a rotation. You play four conference home games, and then schedule your out of conference games. We can have six home games any year we want. We opted to have five this year.

This is the link (below) the MAC put out a couple years ago. It certainly could (should) be changing with Temple coming on board. My guess is we'll also get Temple and one of those MAC West games will disappear. That is, as long as we stay in the East (I swear they'd better not move us again!!!). I started hearing some more talks about another school from the town of Bowling Green being the addition and they would play in the West if it happened. Can you imagine how confused people outside the MAC would be if BG and WKU play one another....because aren't they the same school????
