State of Ohio Flag

Why does tOSU wave the State of Ohio Flag in the endzone after a score? Do they think the State of Ohio flag only represents tOSU? As BGSU is an in-state school, I was insulted by the disrespect this showed for the flag and residents of Ohio. Having served in the military and lived throughout the US, I take pride in the State of Ohio flag as having been born and raised in Ohio. How tOSU used it really bothered me - does it bother anyone else?

They've been doing it probably longer than we've been alive, they aren't going to stop either.

It is like their OH-IO chant. They think that OSU always has been and always will be the only state school in Ohio. With that said, it really does not bother me.

What's the big deal? They are a state school. We could do the same thing if we wanted. At least OSU has the respect to fly the state flag in their stadium on game day. I don't understand why we are concerning ourselves with anything OSU on this forum anymore. The game is over. Lets focus on Eastern Michigan.

Good point. Plus, emus are a lot more fun to look at than buckeyes, anyway.

I agree it's time to move on. But, if we tried flying the flag OSU might sue us to get us to stop.

And they would lose because it is the flag of the state of Ohio. And we fly it on two other poles on campus. I guess it's just another one of the details the department likes to sweep under the rug instead of addressing it.....

Anyone recognize this EMU? I couldn't believe some of the things he used to do to talk show guests, but he was never short of rich and famous types ready to be made asses of! If he did a talk show today, EMU wouldn't last the show before getting hauled off to jail for assault.

exactly, this is lame. I'm sure they wave the WV flag in Morgantown, and they wave the VA flag here that's for sure. This is really lame and some people need to just move on from the game. It's a damn flag and it's not rectangular...whoop de do.

you are extremely nitpicky and quite pathetic.
Maybe they waive the Ohio flag because they are from OHIO. Maybe they are proud of where they are from..who ever said BG cant waive an Ohio flag???
NOBODY...either BG chooses not too or they havent thought about it. same with OU, UT, KSU, MIAMI, UC etc.....
So what if they chant O_H_I_O or OH---IO..
Ohio is in the name of the university..
It doesnt mean they think they are the only team in the state playing d-1a football. *snip* edit by RUIT
*snip*
do you want them to not acknowldge at all they are from ohio when they are located right in the friggin capital????
cry a river and ask your mother to change your diapers

Watch your language buddy! As you can see by other posts, this is being taken care of and didn't need you stiring it up again. Why can't you be like the respectful OSU fans on this board??
