Man...NIU, ut, and Marshall all need one or two losses behind their wins. Hopefully we can give one to both Marshall and ut but other teams beating them would help us out in a HUGE way!! There is still a lot of MAC football left so I can only hope things work out for BG. It'd be really disappointing to see us win out the rest of the season and then get the shaft.

You ask me, and Marshall needs about two losses in that column to knock them out of the top spot, because Miami's one loss is to Marshall. I hate to sympathize with them, but Miami's in the same boat with us. I'm just surprised to see Akron up there at 3-1. Jeff

You have to admit though that they are much improved over the last several years. We're going to have to be careful about this game because they could jump up and nip us with their running game. Hopefully they'll remember how we weren't able to put them away last year and stick it to them early.

I'm in no hurry to see us play EMU. Sherrill is a terrific back and our run defense is looking pretty weak this year. It's not all bad tackling like people have said in other threads...it's just we don't have players where their guys are running. Maybe teams are mixing up their formations and messing up our defensive strategy but I really do have faith in Mr. Beckman and am sure he has a plan for Sherrill. EMU doesn't really have that great of an offensive line but if they start running sweeps to the outsides, the game could be a lot closer than most expect IMO. It is actually the only upset I could see happening down the road for us.

Man...this bums me out a little bit. I would've thought that Bowling Green would be higher than 4th in the West...but, like y'all said, if you beat ut and Marshall, that should put you up in the top...and don't forget to hand it to EMU...good luck the rest of the season...I figured I'd check in and see how everyone was doing.

No, sympathize with us, please! You are correct, we're in the same boat. We need you guys to beat the Peapods and we'll take care of Akron and Toledo for you, deal? Good luck the rest of the way!
