Kent's remaining schedule

Well, the rest of the season looks like this for Kent:
OU
@Buffalo
@Virginia Tech
EMU
@Ball State
What are the odds that Kent runs the table in the MAC this season? Of the remaining games, I'd say that OU gives them the biggest hassle, but after looking at this, I'd say that BG might have a very difficult time finding their way into the Championship, even if they find a way to win out. Thoughts?

Well, nowadays, anything happens in NCAA Football, but yes, I'd have to say Kent is looking good right now. I would say with the way their playing, Kent has a good shot at 8-0. OU/KSU will be a big game, but the way Kent has been destroying people since they beat us is unreal. We'll see. Long ways to go. And we gotta beat CMU.

As always OU is overrated. After what Kent did to Akron at home, I think they will handle OU at home as well. As we've seen Buffalo can be a handful if you make mistakes and give them opportunites. As we saw today and most of the season, EMU is always competitive but can't seem to find a way to win close games. (24-21 BG, 24-17 OT CMU, and 14-6 Northwestern). You have to feel eventually they will be due, catch a break, and pull one out. They've gotta be the best 0-6 team going. They have some serious athletes on offense. (DesLauries.) I think Kent is better than BSU, but Ball State is capable. So, could Kent lose two of those four games? Yeah. Will they? Probably not. Tough road for BG. Hopefully we just keep winning.

Overrated huh? We've beaten Illinois, WMU and NIU to name a few. We are on a roll and look for us to add Kent State to the list.

Hey pal, I'm not going to dispute the WMU, NIU wins. However, the entire MAC is competitive this year. Everyone is beating everyone. Freaking Kent State is the best team in the league right now. OU beating those two teams would have been a bigger deal last year. This is a MAC filled with parity. And OU is overrated, if they were as good as they were touted we wouldn't have buried them on the road.
As far as Illinois goes, they suck. Period. It's nice for the OU media guide that they have a win over a Big 10 team, but the Big 10 is just a meaningless label with Illinois. Illinois would lose to any MAC team this year. Save Buffalo or Miami.

I'm actually hoping you guys do add Kent to your so called "list". The fact remains that BG continued its dominance of OU and were one of the youngest teams in the nation, so we will just get stronger buddy!

Illinois does suck, but they certainly are improving a ton. Especially with Juice Williams at QB. That loss to IU doesnt look so bad now, seeing how IU took it to Iowa yesterday. Beating Illinois was a great win for Ohio I think, and I too hope they beat Kent and help us out a little bit!

The Big 10 is terrible. The only teams worth mentioning are Michigan, ohio and Wisconsin.

It's on par with the Big East this year, which is sad. 2 1/2 good teams at the top and then a whole bunch of crap on a stick.
Of course, those 2 at the top are the best two teams in the country, but no depth to speak of behind them. OSU and Michigan haven't met as unbeatens since the 70's? That's because the conference is usually extremely deep. Not this year.

I've got to give credit to Coach Martin and the Flashes....they are really rolling these days. Taking out 50 years of frustration all at once.
I'm not gonna say this thing is over, though. There are 4 games left on the conf sked. The Falcons need to just keep winning MAC games. CMU will be a huge test for us Thursday night. One game at a time...
Kent could still lose twice....

I don't think anyone has brought this up since last year, but what about a three way tie? If Ohio beats Kent, and all three of the teams run the table, they would be tied with 1 loss. Isn't the tie breaker the conference record of cross-division games? Here is the current breakdown:
Kent:
UT 0-3
EMU 0-3
BSU 2-2
Ohio
NIU 3-2
WMU 2-1
EMU 0-3
Bowling Green
EMU 0-3
CMU 4-0
UT 0-3
Amazingly, all three of the schools play EMU and BG shares UT with Kent. CMU is obviously a better draw (assuming a win....which is a big assumption!) than BSU. Ohio appears to be in a better position with NIU and WMU though. For this scenario to work in BG's favor, ironically UT would need to get their act together quickly before stumbling against the Falcons.
Sure it is a longshot, but worth speculating....

Given Ohio has already played NIU and WMU, and NIU and WMU already played each other (can't give each other another loss), Ohio would have in made in the shade with a 3-way tie.
