This from the scout.com...
Houston Texans – The team, perhaps looking for a third quarterback, worked out free agents Omar Jacobs and Bradlee Van Pelt recently. The Texans are among a growing trend this season of teams just having two quarterbacks on the active roster.

I'm crossing my fingers hoping he gets a shot. Good luck Omar!

Good to know he's still on the League's radar. Maybe with another year of seasoning and another training camp, he'll be ready to stick.

Yeah, I also hope that Omar can get a spot there. It would be good news for him if he did get a spot.

It would be great for Omar to get a practice squad spot. What he really needs is a spot on an NFL Europe roster. They usually have coaches that are on the same page with NFL clubs, and run similarly complex offensive systems. Get Omar over there and get some game action with a pro style offensive scheme. Hopefully the lightbulb will go on...he's got the physical talent, his head just needs to catch up.

I dont know what to say about where he will end up, but I hope its playing football, hes got the tools. i am just tired of folks bad mouthing him because he honestly said the Offense is hard to learn, if he had said the same thing but twisted to sound like what others have siad he never would have been dubed stupid.
I think if some one from mensa were duped on a proroster as a qb they to would suffer learning the O.
Some team will see this for the anti BCS hype it is...who knows he could wind up in atlanta and fix thier passing game in the spread...although he doesnt run like vick...J% would have been good fit in Atlanta.

For personal reasons, I would love for Omar to end up in a Texans uniform. That way I could at least see him in a preseason game next year. I don't see the Texans drafting a QB in the draft this year, they have other areas to worry about, so Omar would have a chance to compete for a roster spot next year. The way that Carr gets hit, they need a third QB on the practice squad. I know they were looking, but if they haven't signed anyone yet, I don't know that they have found the one that they like. But it would be sweet to actually watch him again live, if it would be just a preseason game.
