This and that from Homecoming

First off, I love getting back to campus. Definitely a treat for me and my family.
Here are some observations from the game and other odds-n-endz.
*Went to SBX to drop my customary monies. I now have seen the "new logo" on a sweatshirt. I officially don't like it. It reminds me of something and I just can't put my finger on it.

I had a couple of people surprised when I explained the new logo. They just couldn't seem to believe that we would get a new logo.
*I like the look of the stadium. Paint job on the railings was decent. New benches are awesome. The new scoreboard - sheesh that thing is big.
*Speaking of big. Omar. Hay-zues Christo! Being in the alumni band, I was right on the sidelines watching that boy warm up. I just kept shaking my head and sharing with everyone, "man, he's really a big boy, isn't he?" I liked his demeaner as well. Very calm. Very confident. He has a wonderful future ahead of him.
*Speaking of scoreboards, first game and already I was on camera. Sorry Delaine, but I was catching my mace so they went for me. I almost hit that guy a couple of time, however. I felt like a star! Did everyone like my ORANGE CHUCK TAYLOR HIGHTOPS? You couldn't see them on the screen, but I'm sure you could see me march out with them.
*Weather sucked and I couldn't hang on. I was prepared for most weather conditions. Unfortunately pants and subsequent layers were soon soaked through after the sleet hit.
I'm just getting over a small bought of the flu. I couldn't afford to get any more ill with my work week ahead. I bowed out right at the start of the second quarter. I wanted to see the entire game. I wanted to see halftime. I wanted to be there. I sent the wife and daughter off to the car right before the nasty stuff hit. I left fairly soon after that. I feel apologize to my fellow Falcon fans and the football team.
*When walking out, I was accompanied by a bunch of students who were ranting about the "ridiculous weather." No, the weather wasn't ridiculous, the fact that you only wore a hooded sweatshirt to the game is ridiculous.
*I like the band in the endzone. I didn't like sitting in the endzone, but having the band there is a better fit.
Thats about all.
