A big game on national TV (sort of) with their team in 1st place? That sucks.

The weather was terrible and I bet 60% of the students don't care about the team. Nothing new for the MAC.

I'd give a million dollars to anyone that can prove there were actually 11K there.

I was at the game and actually about 80% of the attendance was their students. I gotta give it to them, they have the best student section in the MAC, hands down.

I remeber in 2002, we played Eastern for our last home game. The weather was horrendous and the crowd was sparce. A couple weeks later Urbie was in Utah.
This embarassing turnout for such a huge game could prompt CMU Coach Brian Kelly to make a similar move. Rumor has it MSU is interested in him along with Mariucci if John L. Smith gets the boot.

Yeah no doubt, I was wondering if thats how many tickets they sold, because it looked like 5 or 6,000 tops on my TV!

Actually that number figure seemed about right yesturday. As svillefalcon said most of their fans were student, but a real good portion left after halftime. I was disappointed with the crowd turnout in Mt. Pleasant especially when the announcer said that the average turnout for CMU students for home football games is 10,000.

I guess BGSU and CMU can battle it out for the Division I-AA championship in a few years

I hope the MAC commmissioner is looking at attendance figures when he is working out the league schedule next year. This should be a clear kick in the head before he bends over and takes it from the TV networks. Weeknight games will KILL the MAC in division 1-A football.

this is why weeknight games blow (and also have a game 7 of the NLCS probably didn't help things). How do they expect to have good fan turnouts when every game is in the middle of the week? I agree, the league commish is at fault here. UVA had their lowest turnout in years as well last night.

I bought 50 door handles, half a hallway worth of tile floor, and three urinals.
Then I found this bridge in New York City.....
