Hey, we stink to high heaven this year. Accept it, embrace it, enjoy it.
We suck, Toledo Sucks, Nius not so hot, and Miami is well...in a fight with "Temple".
Its a season of inversion.
I came to grips with it around the Ohio State Game, where they bestowd upon some merce and show respect for our program by not...uterly destroying us.
I am happy with strides made on D this year...does it show all thetime, no. But the gains are there, we have lots of great players, who are "DEVELOPING".
Can we point fingers at our spec teams...you bet we can...but even with the gay as hell puntformation, they to are improving.
Our O just Blows. Two QBS have once again proven that you must pick one, and sleep in the you bed you made. At is no J5, and so not an Omar, or miller its not even worth drawing compairsons. He is At and well i have to think I was correct when I said way back he is not a good qb and we should have gone with Gauld and developed him this year. Now since the season almost done, My typos will fall on blind eyes as I say, put the kid in develop him, and lets start down that path...yea you can disagree and pick a different qb, but im banking this kid rocks and is BGS future.
our O line...the unsung O line...this year they are good, and we have good guys behind them I hope this season doesnt discourage them as the level of play and the potential level of play these guys show will give us O to put the points on the board again, no doubts there.
our back field has life but seeming is spuratic on the emotion...again not worried.
We suck this year...but when you look at ths team beyond the suck , you see a glorious future again.
i bet that in this down football season..history will again prove that when footballs down hockey is up...and with the stench of cowardess gone from lastyears locker room...its probable.
Wellcome to rebuilding
There is some comfort here.
If Toledo didn't suck as bad as they do, we would have to also deal with crap from their fans, about how we were "bitter" about their success.
Thankfully that is not the case, so they will understand that we are objective and very much happy not to equal their success this season. So far.
But lets not jump on the "just not our year" bandwagon just yet. That will be the excuse. If anything I'm even more unhappy because in a year that an exceptionally well run program would be running rough-shod over the MAC, we can't even get to the middle of a flock of struggling programs.

Rebuilding or whatever you want to call it, the fact remains we are just flat-out not good this year. We knew coming into this season, we were going to be young and inexperienced. While you always hope for a surprise, this is what at least I was anticipating. Only a handful of teams can produce consistently great teams year after year. I mean hell, look at a team Like Notre Dame. Such a storied past and a history of winning, but until Weis showed up, they sucked a lot!
Everyone just needs to take a deep breath and accept this season for what it is. I know it just is a little more frustrating since last season was supposed to be our year and we stubbed our toe big time. Hang in there everyone...This too shall pass...I only hope this is not a return to the Dark Days of the late Blackney era...

On to next year....
I have officially come to terms that we arn't Mac Championship material for sure. I probably knew that weeks ago but I was sorta holding out some hope. I 'm not really even mad after this CMU loss. They were clearly better than us and we have a load of youth & injury problems on the D-line this year. Again , my expectations were pretty low to begin with so I'm over it.
AT is clearly not good enough at QB, and this goes beyond his popped shoulder. He doesn't havea the mental instincts and skills you have to have to play QB. Sheehan or Glaud are the future and I say play Sheehan since hes' burned his redshirts allready. There's nothing conerning this year anyway not to play Sheehan. We're not winning the Mac East , we're not going to a Bowl game pure and simple so Sheehan could use a leg up on game time play for next year.
