21,000-plus at EMU today??????? Ha!!!

Post by BGSU33 »

Please tell me I'm not the only one today that saw how there was nothing near what EMU had as an attendance figure there today. 21,000-plus??? The entire East side was practically empty and the West side was maybe, maybe half full. There might have been half that there and that's being generous. Whatever way EMU is doing its attendance, BG should be doing the same. If EMU had 21,000 there today, BG had 40,000 for the EMU game last week. It was good to see the Eagles get a win though.

Yeah. no doubt. My friends and I were making fun of how bad the attendance was. 10,000 there tops!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I agree....no freakin way there were more than 8,000 at this game. Every time one of the teams punted, the stands looked empty big time.

Good to see EMU get the win. UT is really struggling right now and Akron shows up at the Glass Bowl next week. With Akron, NIU on the road and Ball State and BG at home, I don't see UT finishing with more than 3 wins. It is shocking considering how well they've done over the last decade and a half. It happens to all teams. CMU was down for a decade and is now back.

For further evidence that EMU severly cooks the books, see this thread from 11/04.

We went up there thanks to some free tickets from EMU's head coach and BG alum Jeff Genyk, and were amazed at the turnout. Crazy.
