As a team, BG has given up an NCAA-low 2 sacks on the season, Ohio an NCAA-high 32.

Other notes:
BG is #1 in the nation in sack yardage allowed (-13)
BG is #2 in the nation in TD passes (18), INTS allowed (2)

In addition:
#6 in completion %
#7 in passing yardage
#8 in passing efficiency

Individually,
Omar is...
#5 in passing yards
#6 in QB rating

Check out this head-to-head comparison.

Prediction:
BGSU 52
Ohio 9

Ohio is also #1 defense (#1 pass and #3 run) defense in the MAC. They also have a +9 (1.29per game) turnover margin for the year. Pretty stout. I don't see us scoring as we have been. Look for them to copy NIU's defensive playbook.

Their offense is pretty enigmic, so I do see us winning the game, at least.

BG: 24
OU: 17

Their QBs SUCK. They can't hit the side of a barn with a weapon of mass destruction. I'm not so sold on their defense being able to stop BG. But I am sure they can't score much against us.

OU-someting
BGSU-more than that.

yeah look at the side by side defense comparison on that link, its really 1-sided in their favor there, it will be a good game i think.

While we really can't say "but our defense is better than the stats show", because I think we're up to 3,215 threads on defensive problems, I think the stats on D might be a bit skewed for OU. While holding Marshall to 16 appears to be impressive, in their only other test (Miami), they gave up 40. VMI, Buffalo and this year's Kentucky squad (though that one is a good win for the OU program) don't exactly lend themselves to being struggles for a defense. I wish there were common opponents to compare, but I still think that facing our offense will bring anything their defense has done down a little.

I expect a closer game than most we've had, especially given that its on the road and their homecoming, but I don't expect OU to come within 20. Maybe a 45-21 final?

Interesting game for BG, possibly seen as a "sandwich" game - a roadie in between home games.

Why this game worries me: Man OU's defense looked great in the first half against Toledo. They flew to the ball and created a lot of havoc all over the field. It's also homecoming for the Slobcats, so they should have some emotion on their side.

Why this should be a gimme: With a chance to make adjustments, the spRockets were able to demolish the Bobcat D in the third quarter. This is partly due to the fact that OU's offense could not control the clock and seemed intent on breaking a MAC record for three-and-outs.

If BG takes control of the tempo of the game, this will be another brutal beating. If the Falcons tiptoe through the first quarter, it could easily be a game.

Prediction? BG wins. More to come ...

EDITED TO ADD: Ohio has averaged about 17,250 per game at home.

As NIU has taught us again this season, we have to watch out for EVERY team we play. Ohio is going to give us a better game than Temple, Ball State, Central Michigan or Southeast Missouri did. We better come prepare to play, and win.

Who the hell is giving us more than 14 points? 16?

This OU offense is...well...awful. If you guys don't beat the spread you guys are destined to fail eternally.

Bold prediction:
OU--4
BG--how high can BG students count these days? 28?
