When the SAC is built and Perry Stadium ages.....

I think as they design the SAC, they should consider the long-term needs to improve the stadium. Specifically, I look at the points where the stadium area could be enhanced asthetically.
Examples:
At some point it will be neccesary to physically remove and replace the railings or flagpoles on the stadium. Design features of the SAC might be added at the time of construction, which could be matched later, with addition and changes on the stadium. This could create a visual flow that unites the two structures.
The SAC should be designed as a stand-alone building of course, and should look attractive and add to the area on its own. However, it wouldn't cost anything, to look forward to the future.
Beyond that, we face a long period of fundrasing for a convo center, and other things. So we are certain not to see an organized effort. But it doesn't hurt to discuss ways the general stadium area could be improved.
The roadway around the stadium, and the paved area under it, could be improved over time, to create a much smoother appearence.
Knocking down the concession booths and starting new might be nice. Adding removable TV monitors along the main concourse would let people feel more at-ease with leaving for food. That might help spread the flow of sales across the entire game, prevent long lines, etc.
Buy a pre-fab steel building, put it in someplace far away, and get the grounds crew out of the stadium.
Follow the suggestion of the University Master Plan, landscape and pave the football parking lots.
Pave some of the "tent city" pads, and improve the access to electricity.
Put a foot or two of topsoil around the stadium, and plant bushes. Its a possible safety issue, maybe, but worth it. Add some donor-sponsored park benches at various points in and around the stadium and tent city area.
Find a way to "finish" the backside of the scoreboard. It need not be overly fancy, but it needs to be done.
Mandate that some of these concession people make trips into the stands.
Add a seasonally removable "hall of fame" display, if nothing will be built in the SAC. Nothing that would blow over, but that would mounted to fixed points, and stored during the off-season. Something people at the game could walk through, browse while eating, between halves, before the game, etc. Granted, a HOF area/room might be pegged for the future convo center, but something ought to be there for football.
Convert the old weight room into the BGSU athletic archieves, or some other suitable space which isn't prone to leaking. Again, this too might be better suited for the convo center.
Mount football championship banners from the stadium pillars. It would help dress up the stadium and promote football heritage. It might also be fairly cheap to do.
Have our well-equiped fine arts department create some sports themed statues, not unlike what they tried at 5/3 Field in Toledo. Maybe put a bronze statue of Doyt Perry in the stadium, in the pose of that famous photo, kneeling with the football.
Get the dumpsters into their own little pens, so they aren't sitting in the middle of anyplace.
Mask the backside of the elevator towers so they don't stick up like sore thumbs. While they are at it, mask the A/C units now cooling the VIP boxes.
It might be an argument for another day, but much of this make me wonder if we might not be better suited to have the convo center in the south endzone area.
