I remember being as angry as most of you are on here after we lost to Villanova to open the 2003 campaign. In-city basketball rival but Div1-aa opponent.

I am a bit ashamed that Temple is your Villanova. Temple had lost 20 straight but had actually just started playing with this year’s full squad (minus injuries). I will spare you the details but lets just say Coach golden is a hell of disciplinarian.

I'd wish you'd guys would suck it up and congratulate the win but know that’s not going to happen, you love your team. In the coming years lets all hope this game is for the MAC east crown.

That article is from TWO YEARS AGO! I should say you're a better person than that VE. I would expect that from MH55 (laced with colorful language, of course).

Yes, people are disappointed in the loss against T-E-M-P-L-E, but to DEMAND some sort of congratulations to your team on THIS board is absurd.

VE actually has a point. Lost in all the anger, disappointment and suicidal thoughts, the Owls deserve congrats IMO. Temple won the game...congrats Owls.

I will restate...

This win feels great for Temple fans especially because of articles like that one in our hometown papers.

I feel your pain, it will get better.

We both played tons of freshman and we will both benefit in the coming years...

How about we meet back here in three years and talk about two teams vying for the better bowl game.

I honestly do not expect you guys to congratulate Temple for those that due your a bigger person then I.

I am honestly happy for Temple and the team and program certainly do deserve congratulations. I also think you somewhat understand how the fans on this board feel after the loss. Nobody here is going to be overly excited for Temple when they broke the streak against us. I don't think the issue here is this one loss. The issue is that the team has been playing far below everyone's expectations over the past couple of years. A loss to the team with the longest losing streak in the country was just kind of that last straw for alot of people here.
