Bowling Green State University Director of Athletics Greg Christopher has announced that coaching legend and ESPN college football analyst Lou Holtz will be the featured speaker at a luncheon to benefit the Sebo Athletic Center, Wednesday, November 15 in Perry Fieldhouse on the BGSU campus. Holtz is scheduled to be part of the broadcast team that will call the BGSU/Miami contest on ESPN2 later that evening.
"We are honored that Coach Holtz has taken time out of his schedule to talk to the many college football fans in this area," said Christopher. "Coach Holtz and Bob Sebo's friendship is the reason we were able to put this together and we are grateful to both gentlemen for their support."
Cost to attend is $60 per person, $50 for Falcon Club members, $30 for students or $400 for a table of 8. For more information, contact The Falcon Club at (419) 372-7100.

I hate to think of how much Holtz is being paid to "take time out of his schedule".

I am willing to guess Holtz might be doing this event for free. Holtz, a Kent State grad, has been friends with Bob Sebo for a long time as they both grew up in the same area. Sebo is a member of the Lou Holtz/Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame, Class of 2005.

Word I'm hearing is that Greg Christopher was fearing a large group of students and fans staying at home to watch the game on TV rather than coming out in the cold to watch in person.
He got on the phones and brokered a deal with ESPN to have Lou Holtz on the game broadcast to make potentially cold weather seem like a better option.*
(*-I didn't really hear that. But I'd buy GC a beer if he would pull something like that off.)

Yeah they are giving out free t shirts to all students. MTVU will also be hotsing a tailgate before the game with free food and prizes. There is also a sign contest and like a car give away or something like that. Trust me, the athletic department is pulling out all the stops for this game. You should start hearing about the hype up of the game starting next week.
