Can anyone give any info as to who will be starting undercenter for the falcons tomorrow against the zips? Personally i would like to see Tyler Sheehan get a chance at playing a full game.

Anthony starts, Tyler will play if he struggles. Just like last week.

That approach isn't really fair to either...moreso to Sheehan than Turner though. Sheehan is just a freshman, asking him to step in and revive the offense mid game is asking too much. Give him the start or tell AT he's theguy unless the wheels COMPLETELY fall off. (like they did with Barnes against Kent State).

It's not fair to Turner because you're setting him up to be looking for the hook each time he tries to make a play. That scenario isn't going to help his mental approach one bit. It will only make him press.

Agreed 100%

This is an awful way to handle a QB situation.

"Anthony, you're our guy so long as things are going well, but don't screw up or we're gonna yank you! I still have enough faith in you to make you the starter, but only if you're having one of you're good days, so make it count."
"Tyler, be ready. Anthony hasn't been very good this year, and if he screws up again we'll need you to try and save the day. I know it's tough for you to try and save the day, but when he's having one of his good days we like Anthony better. We don't want to risk playing you until we find out if he's having a good day or a bad day."

That's pretty much what the coaching staff is telling the #1 & #2 player on his depth chart at the most important position on the field. Brilliant.

Funny, but stuff like this just doesn't surprise me anymore...:(

I was really hoping they would give the start to Sheehan from the get go. As pointed out maturity-wise it would be easier on Sheehan to do it that way, but I also think style of pay-wise it makes sense.

Sheehan, being more of the pocket passer type could try his go at it and if they needed a pick-up or spark AT could go in and add the running QB angle.

I also don't think that by starting Sheehan they would be "mailing in" the rest of the season. I think we could be successful with Sheehan running the show the rest of the way.
