According to Coach Brandon on the Wamer Show today, FIU is trying to get out of their return visit to BG next season.

Must have gotten on the phone with South Florida. That or the prison bus was unavailable to make the drive that weekend.orangeandbrown wrote:According to Coach Brandon on the Wamer Show today, FIU is trying to get out of their return visit to BG next season.

You'd think they'd be crawling at the chance to play us.If they are able to break the contract without paying a substantial penalty we should urge all the MAC schools to refuse to schedule any games against the SunBelt.
Too freakin bad. Get your asses up here and play.orangeandbrown wrote:According to Coach Brandon on the Wamer Show today, FIU is trying to get out of their return visit to BG next season.
You are referring to Auburn, which then was upset with us because they had a pretty decent year but their SOS hurt them in the BcS. I believe they were undefeated but left out of the mythical championship game as there were three undefeated BcS schools. Then they were screaming about us not playing them.jmillerbg wrote:It is unreal to me how often we appear to get the shaft. I do recognize that we have been on the other end of this though - for instance, we dropped someone late to go to Oklahoma a couple years back.
I remember that chode smoker Lee Corso took up Auburn's "cause" saying BG chickened out of playing Auburn to go play Oklahoma. WTF???? When I heard him say that on Gameday....transfer2BGSU wrote:You are referring to Auburn, which then was upset with us because they had a pretty decent year but their SOS hurt them in the BcS. I believe Krebs made a hefty penalty part of our contracts after the South Florida debacle a few years ago.
If this happens after the same thing happened with USF a couple years ago, we had better learn a lesson from this and start getting on some front ends of home-&-home series from now on. You want a home-&-home with us from now on, you come here first. If not, it's no loss to us if you weren't going to return a game on the back end. Go find someone else to stick with a scheduling void. That's BS if they do this too.orangeandbrown wrote:According to Coach Brandon on the Wamer Show today, FIU is trying to get out of their return visit to BG next season.
Boise State is coming to the Doyt next season. BG will have 6 home games in 2007.kdog27 wrote:Looks like we will either being playing 1-aa school or we will only have four home games next season. Is Boise still coming here? I vaguely remember them backing out or maybe I just made that up.
According to Brandon in the same 1470 discussion Boise is trying to back out as well.Falconfreak90 wrote:Boise State is coming to the Doyt next season.
