Please if you got any good info , dish out! :) Someone mentioned a 6'8 305lb potential recruit at the Ball ST. game. Pretty good size. I wonder if he picks us if we could make him a nosetackle if he's athletic enough? :prayer: :D

I hear we have four (4) defensive linemen coming in that are all in the 6'6" to 6'8" categorg, average about 340#, and run 4.5 forties, and all bench in the 500# range, because they are tired of hearing about our undersized DL!!

Word is these four guys are all top-notch sousaphone players as well. And they're the top four Michigan SF/PF combos in hoops.

I just hope they have frickin' Laser Beams on their foreheads!

On a serious 8) note, I overheard a coach say that we had more early commitments this year from high school seniors than any other year since Urban/Brandon arrived.

This was from a nearby horse's mouth Saturday postgame.

So, hopefully, this means a super recruiting year and more athletes coming our way to join those ranks very soon.

Go Falcons!

Wow, that's suprising to hear because last year's class was sewn up pretty early in the year. IIRC, we knew the names of everyone who signed LOI's well before signing day.

I wonder how the efforts to expand the recruiting base into TX are going...

Coach Rothenbuhler (recruiting coord), mentioned a couple of weeks ago when he appeared on the Monday night radio show, that we had quite a number of verbals already. :D

According to one recruiting service that I subscribe to, Bowling Green has four verbal commitments from the class of 2005. I don't know, however, how up-to-date that sight is. The commitments include one WR, one QB and two offensive linemen. ---- And please lets not exaggerate the physical stats of these recruits. There ain't no 6'6" 320 recruit that's gonna run the 40 in 4.6 ---- that kind of stuff is all frabricated. Guys like that would be lucky to be in the low 5s.

The OL that was at the game is 6'8 311 and i'm sorry there is no way in heck he will be DL with the forty time he got heck h may not even make it as a OL here he run the forty in 5.72

Hold on now!

Yeah, a 5.72 is not fast at all even for a lineman, BUT when you're that big and hopefully strong your not going to be chasing qb's or running backs anyay. A huge nosetackle is supposed to be a run clogger up the middle, and a guy who needs to be double-teamed constantly making it easier for linbackers and safeties to get to the QB or HB. Oh, and take it easy okay factman? :P
