I've Had It!

Yet again, our coaching staff lets a game slip through the team's hands...
I'm tired of terrible playcalling, faulty special teams and lame excuses. Our team had a chance to finish .500 and we pissed it away because our coaches have no faith in this team.
Sure, the weather was horrible, but this was just ridiculous.
I need to vent my frustration, but if we lose to UT next week, I want every coach fired from this team. Enough excuses, time to put up or shut up.

I havent been on too often recently, and this post reminds me why! Yeah we sucked this year, and yeah there have been some bad decisions, but you know what, what you wrote is ridiculous!!!
Why don't we just hire you to do the job...I hear you have got the football coach thing down pretty well!

I can't certainly do much worse, I called almost 20 plays from the stands tonight. I know it's a bad year, it doesn't mean it's a reason to accept it and not call out the people who need to be.
My post is ridiculous? Maybe because I care, I sat through 3 hours of horrible weather to show my dedication and support of the team, and I'm rewarded with blocked punts and missed field goals, something a high school team can do better at.
BG won 2 home games this year again...the AD wonders why attendance is down? Team doesn't win at home.
I'm frustrated because this team this year was destined for great things, and I feel the coaching staff held them back from being the best they could be.
Quarterback draws and pistol formation tailback dives just don't work at all.

Since your team will be playing on a real field next week, im sure Good Ol Gregg will open up the playbook again... if he can find it anyways. I heard that Turner ran out of papers and was using pages to blaze up!

Interesting how very few BG fans "piled on" on the Rockette board during Toledo's struggles this year.
Yet, here you are.

Its UT BG week no? RWT piled on multiple times a day every day. You know this.

That same ESPN crew was chatting up the OSU Michigan game every chance they got. Who gives a rats a$$ what they think?

jp, you have to understand that the weather had a HUGE impact on the play calling tonight. And once we got the lead, it was ultra-conservative. If we would have been more aggressive, I think we could have got up by two scores and Miami would have folded.
And you can't blame Ellis for missing a FG in these conditions. And if Brandon knew he wanted it on the left hash, like everyone watching on TV did, he should have run a play early in the series to get the ball to that side.
And the blocked punt? Lanning stood there like a statue and watched the guy run right by him while Lanning blocked no one.

This was just one of those games. No blame to Ellis. I wonder about the QB keeper on 1st and Goal, but there you have it-I don't get paid to make playcalls so I'll have faith in the staff, but I just wish we wouldn't have run the keeper on 1st.....

you know TJ....I think fans of both schools need to just shut the f**k up this year. We both suck ...talking smack when we have fewer wins between us than BGSU had all on it's own back in 2003 (against far better opposition) is a little bit like seeing a dog fight between a Pomeranian and a Pekinese. It's a bit pathetic, no?
A decent team would throttle our combined squads...

And I'm wondering about the third down call. Was Corey the only WR out in a pattern? You're on the seven yard line and you think one WR is gonna get open when the defense has no where else to go? In addition to that, Turner was rolling out. You eliminated half the field for the defense and then only send one guy in the pattern? At least Turner was smart enough to throw it away. That play had no chance.

Flipper I couldn't agree more. We are both going bowling this year...too bad its the toilet bowl. Both teams will be much improved. Unfortunately, brandon will still be your coach next year, correct??? Isn't his contract up soon? Hope not, on this side of the fence!

And that was after a timeout. Miami knew the exact play.
I found it interesting that Brandon called 2 timeouts on the last set of downs with many seconds left on the play clock (I guess that offset Miami's odd decision to not call their timeouts which would have given them some time in case BG scored).
The ref that called the offsides on Miami on the 4th down drop by Brantley (which one?) needs to be fired on the spot. He wasn't even lined up with the ball himself to see that there was no penalty.
