Hello all. I attended the Wisconsin game in Cleveland this Fall. I left feeling that, excpept for Ohio State, we could win every game on our
schedule. I make this inference because Wisconsin has turned out
to be a quality team. With that said, what has happened this season?
I didn't expect us to be good. However, I see the program declining
by degrees as we move further into the Brandon era.
Some information to back up my points. These include:
1. Brandon's record at BG his first two years is a combined 21-6.
2. His record, including this year and last year is 10-12. I am not
being negative, but I do believe we will lose to Toledo. Therefore, his
record over the two year period will be 10-13. This is not acceptable.
This from a program that was in the Top 25 not that long ago.
3. The losses to Temple and Miami, and the close games with both Buffalo and Eastern Michigan.
4. The non development of Anthony Turner.
5. The banal playcalling. What happened to the wide open attack?
6. What about future recruiting?
I am concerned about out future. People keep on saying we have youth on
our side. However, will this youth be productive in the future? BG is
no longer fun to watch. They have become predictable and boring both
at the same time.
I am a loyal Falcon, but one other thing I would like to assert. All of the
bashing of the Buckeyes on this board drives me crazy. I am a huge Buckeye fan when they are not playing BG. Therefore, I am all for the
Bucekyes kicking the snot out of that uppity university up north.
I am originally from Youngstown, Ohio. Yes, I can hear the jokes now.
But one thing we wished we had was a coach like Jimmy T. Many of you do
don't like him, but I believe he is a quality guy and an excellent coach.
All he does is win. The same can't not be said about Coach Brandon. In fact, Jimmy T's winning ways at YSU was significant, because YSU is not the easiest place to recruit kids to play football. With that said, Go Bucks
and Falcons.
