Well I certainly am glad we didn't have to go on to a Championship or Bowl game. Nobody likes to do that on an empty tank.

We all know the price of gas is up, so I guess Brandon couldn't pay to fill up.

The GB comment that riled me was on the pregame show. He talked about Ellis having to kick that FG against Miami from a big mud puddle like the position on the field was set by some uncontrollable act of God.

Coach...we were kicking from the muck pile because you didn't do anything to get the ball set on the hash mark where there was still some grass left. In those conditions you can't pretend it's a perfect field and run the offense like always and figure on kicking it if you have to. You either decide you're going for six and go all out for it, or you decide that you're going for three and use the last couple of downs to make SURE you're in the best position to kick it. Hell. I would have run two plays to the left and sent the FG unit out on 3rd down. You get a bad snap or hold and you can fall on it and try again.

Brandon made another interesting comment at the post game presser. When asked if Tyler was hit and it affected his throw on the INT that was returned for a TD, he said:


"Yeah he was hit. I think he was hit. At least that is what everyone else told me."


Is the guy even watching the game that everyone else has to tell him???

The man refuses to take any responsibility for our problems. He always has something else to blame or some excuse to spit out.

Unfortunately, his complacent attitude seems to have filtered down to most of the players.

I had a feeling yesterday that we wouldn't come out and play with any fire last night, and I told a friend of mine as much. My reasoning - when players know that there is always a litany of excuses for bad play, there is no motivation to go out and play hard. They all know they'll be defended somehow, no matter how illogical and flawed that defense may be.

Judging by most of his comments on the radio I'd say no.

The int just looked like Tyler was out of control throwing it off of one foot right to the UT player. I mean our guy was wide open but of course he threw it to the guy in the blue jersey. That is one time I wish our QB would have overthrown the ball.

Perhaps he was concerned that if BG was driving through Toledo on a low tank of gas that he would refuse to stop to fill up while in Toledo. You know, kind of like that story about a some OSU coach in Michigan. I don't remember all of the details of the story, perhaps I'd didn't hear the story enough last week. So maybe I should do the logical thing and re-watch the BG-Miami game or the UT-Ball State game to learn more about OSU's history. Anyways, I think that's what GB was going for. Quite funny if you think about it that way.

It is YOUR job to check the gas, and if the tank is empty or only half full, it is YOUR job to FILL IT UP and pay for it!

Last night was like starting a 500 mile trip, with an EMPTY tank, and the driver (coach) forgot to check it.
