Green Youth C Team finishes 5-2-1...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Including 3 shutouts in a row to end the year...13-0, 21-0 and 21-0. Josh did very well in the last game finally getting a chance to play defense and he came up with a few tackles and recovered a fumble. The bad thing was I had to work til 6 and missed the game.

At any rate, Josh is done for his first year and I'm proud of the way he stuck it out....even if he isn't the next Scott Mruczkowski!

Freak:

So good to hear. I'm glad Josh stuck it out - even if he decides never to play another down. I hope he proved something to himself and, more importantly, had a good time.

Are you bringing the boys to the Western Mich. game?

If he is playing defense, I would hope he wouldn't be the next Mruczkowski  If he keeps playing though, he will have my support along with many on the board! If he decides not to play football, atleast try to get him to join the band...he could still be on the Doyt grass atleast twice a game!!!

Very possible '87...even if Mom doesn't want to go.

Mc Metz,
They played Josh on the O line all year and FINALLY gave him a chance to play D line....in the season's last game.

Oh well!

How many kids were on the team Freak? Just asking to see if that might have been why he only played on one side of the ball. At my son's game on Saturday, they only had 17 kids (conflict with hockey for three or four of them), so he played RG half the time on offense after never having even practiced there! He also was on the field for every play. He was a bit tired saturday night. :-\

WH,

There were about 22 or 23 kids.
