BGSU v. Ohio U. - The Bottom Line

Post by 1987alum »

BGSU - 31
Ohio U - 13

I see this playing out similar to the Ohio-Toledo game. OU will be fired up for homecoming and will force a turnover or two in the first half. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they have the lead at halftime.

The second half will see the Bobcat O sputtering and the Falcons finding enough cracks in the armor of the Bobcat D to put the game away early in the fourth.

that sounds quite accuate to me 87. That is a very likely senario for this game. As long as we get a W, and dont look too sloppy ill be happy.

Seconded...the W is all that matters! Time to spoil their homecoming!

I hope we just come out and take it right to them and don't look back.....just like we did against Temple, CMU and Ball State. The longer we leave a team like Ohio hang around, it can only spell trouble. Yes, you can't spell trouble without "OU" in the middle.

Does that mean OU's first seven will be scored via two safeties and a field goal?

No. This time, they'll get the three points by picking up a fumble and returning it for a drop kick.

My concerns are that in the games that we lost, we didn't seem to make any needed adjustments in the second half. It looked like more of the same. Call it sour grapes....but if we aren't ahead by a decent margin at the end of the first half, I'll be worried.

I think that we will be able to move the ball on them after the first couple of possesions. I think that Coach Brandon has done a very good job all year of getting the right game plan in place for the start of the game, and I think that this game will be the same. I think that we will be up by at least ten at the half, and get another couple of touchdowns in the second. I think that Ohio's offense is just too anemic to put any points on the board. I see us winning by about 21 here. Could be wishful thinking, but our offense rolling and OU's not = a good BG win.

Just so everyone knows, the game is on GAMETRACKER. I "watched" the hockey game on it last night and it was very enjoyable.
