Milton-Union's Evans Issues Verbal to Indiana

"We have been informed by West Milton Milton-Union head coach Bret Pearce that QB/S Mitchell Evans has issued a verbal commitment to Indiana. Evans is rated as one of the top players in the class of 2007 by Ohio High magazine and also had offers to Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Ohio and Buffalo."

I saw him play in a high school playoff game against my alma mater. He was a very good athlete but I don't think he's good enough to be a D-1 QB. He has good size, look for him to bulk up and become a LB.

Judging by the list of offers, this is a great recruiting coup for them if they were competing in the MAC East.

I just heard today that we have 12 verbal comittments so far! Coach Brandon was on his way to Akron recruiting. They would like to sign about 20.

I did not hear any names as the coaches can not comment on recruits until they are signed. Sorry.

BG offered a wide receiver from that area on Monday, so that could be who he is visiting.
