Yeah, nobody should be accused of saying that they are not willing to play a tough OOC schedule! Assuming that we're as good as expected they're playing one helluva preseason schedule for a mid major team. Of course ours isn't too shabby either. I'm just thrilled that it will be ALL Division 1A!

Some argue against Pay-day games, but I think the money aside, you have to play at least some of those games, simply because its good for a program and fans. I look at the Akron-Kent attendance, and I look at how we did for South-whatever Whatever-State, and think we should look to schedule more of those home games. I like seeing my team in person, regardless of who they play.

Years ago, last year, I said what would bring people out to see BGSU football consistently was an enviroment that presented people with more than just the game. Lots of games, tents, fireworks, etc. We seem to have achieved that this year. The first home game was against a dog of a team, in what would have been pinned as a rebuilding year for BGSU. The old norm at BG would have been for the fans to stay home figuring we were done for a few years, and to stay home because it was a lousy team we were playing. Not so now, which is the surest sign we have not simply improved, but the very core nature of our fan base has changed. It makes being a long-time fan feel as being worth the wait.
