Per Rivals, PK Nick Iovinelli has committed to BGSU from some JC that I forget the name of. He has no stars and does not appear to have a cool nickname. (I thought Big Bird was a cool nickname...maybe he can be Touchback Me Elmo)

on edit:...it looks like he may be a punter.....I hope he has quality health insurance

He's from Harper College in Illinois. UT is recruiting an offensive lineman from that JC. He has 4.7 speed, which isn't bad for a kicker. And Rivals has him rated 2 stars now.

Well if UT is recruiting an OL player from the same school, that means our new PK has lots of experience with kicking a long distance.

4.7 in the forty...I hope he doesn't need that speed to haul ass out of town next December

Maybe he's a rugby-style kicker and we're going back to the Fry-style. Using the stupid formation stacked to one side for rugby kicking is infinitely better than using the stupid formation to try and kill a classic punter.

Rojas wasn't so much a square peg trying to fit into a round hole, but more of a smart peg slamming into a stupid hole.

Has it been documented anywhere that Rojas "officially" left?

Im more mad that Rojas is leaving than big bird because the last couple games, Rojas was really booting the ball with consistancey, Especially during the Toledo game.

My little sister lived on the same floor as him this past semester. She said he packed up and headed back to Florida with zero intentions to come back to BG.

Well, I'm sorry it didn't work out for Rojas and Ellis here. I wish them the best for their futures.
