NIU got destroyed so bad that it was painful to watch. The announcers were on filler material about the other bowls by the second quarter. It was like the JV playing against the Varsity.
It just goes to show how down the MAC was overall this year compared to previous years. The only current MAC team that would be able to hang with the BG's, Miami's, NIU's and UT's of recent past is CMU, and they'd probably make it close for about a half.
I liked it when the MAC was the Big 4 and everyone else stunk. Parity can take a hike...

That was an embarrassment to the MAC, esp since most of the nation doesnt follow the MAC closely enough to know or care this was a year where all but one or two teams were playing their worst.
its gonna be ugly for the mac this Bowl season.

It was a disaster, but you could see it coming. TCU is a good team that won 10 games coming in...and NIU wasn't a good team that was only in post-season competition because there are so many bowls.

TCU is underrated, I really like the way they play!
