BOISE State RULES!!!!!
WHAT A GAME. Best game I have ever seen.
13-0 Boise State...beat everyone on their schedule! They are your 2007 National Champions!!!!!!!!
I know this is other schools...but thsi is really about BG football. It can be done...we can do what they did. When we played Wisconsin this year....a very down year....we were not outmatched. We need to take athletics as a priority and take the neccesary steps to get.
Gary Meyers just let his gf know they were going to propose.
Gary Meyers ha!

Agreed. That was one AMAZING football game. I'm driving 10 hours tomorrow, so I should've gone to bed a while ago, but I just couldn't turn away from that game and I'm glad that I didn't. Wow.

Seeing as that I am a Grass man....I can move along with that idea.
It really is time for a high authority to step in and Change College football.
i dont care if its an independent unaffiliated org, the college football protection act passed by the gov....but the bottom line is....D1 needs a playoff system between all...ALL conference Champions...once ALL conference Champions are included we can then talk about a plus system.
Anything can, doe and will happen in a football game. no more proof needed, let the players determine Champions, leave the couch potatoes , and has beens out of it.

Completely agree. How hard would a 16 team tourney with 11 conference champions and 5 at larges be.
Why couldnt lets say....Spike TV. Pay the 8 schools millions to have a 16 team rournament on their schedule? It would make Spike tv and would be well wirth it.
Another thing....do you really think Boise State has that much more talent then us? The answer is they dont! They do have more talent when it comes to coaches.
Can we start a fund to buy out Brandons contract?

Awesome game -- definitely in my top 5.
To answer one question, a 16-team playoff would be simple logistically to pull off, and 80-90% of the paying public is overwhelmingly in favor of such a venture. I think we'll eventually get there.
To answer another question, Boise has loads more talent than we do. Loads. They just kept Adrian Peterson in check for 95% of the game, and beat Oklahoma up in the trenches. They have a ball-hawking secondary, an all-american linebacker, a record setting fantastic runningback, and talent and speed everywhere on the outside. You would have to put together a BG all-star team from the last 10 years to match their talent and experience. That's an amazing collection of football players, and it's a crime they don't have a chance to win a national championship.
Kudos to Zabransky for stepping up in the postgame interview and saying they deserve a shot. Almost everybody except the BCS powers that be and NWLB agree with him.

Screw a playoff, to watch that game, and think we want or need a playoff is silly. If an image of Knute Rockne appeared on the window of a building, or the toasted bread of a grilled cheese sandwich, somebody would say it was a sign that the almighty wanted a playoff.
Such a game would likely never happen. A Boise would play and lose to an Ohio State. As good as they are, and they are a very fine team as we have known for some time, they are not the best in college football. And frankly the entire "conference champion" thing, who cares? The MAC and Sunbelt winners don't even warrant consideration in a discussion of who might be the best teams in the game.
If you want a playoff, by an X-box 360 and go wild.

That's not a fact, it's an assumption. Everybody said the same thing about Oklahoma. If OSU didn't bring their A-game, Boise could most definitely hang. A couple breaks go their way, and I have no doubt they could beat OSU. It might only be a 1 in 10 shot, but it's a shot they deserve.

I think they are a darn fine team, I just don't think they are the best. People keep talking about "oh they deserve a shot." A shot. They've had one. They played 12 games, won all of them, and not enough people think they are the best. And I don't think 80-90 percent of the general public want a playoff. Nor do 80-90 percent of the "paying" public. Maybe a majority of some group, or a plurality for those Clinton fans. But you can't simply say, "do you want a playoff." You must, lest you disgrace the game on the whole, ask if you want a playoff at the cost of all that which will in fact suffer with one. Start to mix reality into the pie-in-the-sky, and people's views change. But that is the Inconvenient Reality (TM) the playoff hawks hate to deal with.

Absolutely, you represent your degree program well. That is an assumption. And even if OSU lost, I'd still rate them a better team than Boise. If I were going to declare the best QB or football player on the country this year, it also wouldn't be Troy Smith, but he is the title winner. I don't think a playoff would settle this kind of argument any better than the bowl system.

With all due respect - that is the most outrageous conglomeration of illogical assumptions and half-truths that I have read in a while. With people with your attitude out there, no wonder we seem mired in this widely-recognized-as-insane system.
