DD,
Actually, the Mizzou game has been "on" for quite awhile....part of a 2 for 1 deal, I think....I went to see us beat UM in what I believe was U.Meyer's first game as HC. Andrew Hart was seriously injured in that game and lost the rest of the season...and of course, we blew them out of the water at our place.
So, I'd think that Pinkel might have his kids ready for us this time, using history as a backdrop.

You think Pinkel will still be there then?

And yes, that was Urban's first game. It was also Pinkel's first game at Mizzou.

And Pinkel's last game at UT, he smoked us 51-17 at the GB. J5's first start at QB and Gary Blackney's last game as BG HC. That 20-13 win over Mizzou to start the 2001 season was sweet revenge. 2002 was icing on the cake, 51-28, and one of my fave games...

GO FOOTBALL

I know the Mizzou thing has been out there as part of the deal. But being in SC I was hoping for a BG trip to Death Valley. I have it in my head that there is an outside chance BG-Clemson meet up in 2007. Temple opted out of a game at Clemson in which Clemson states the MAC has found a replacement. The date of the Temple-Clemson game was the date of what was supposed to be our FIU game and I know that FIU wants out of that game so I was hoping that we were the game the MAC supplied to Clemson.

So you're saying there's a chance?!!!!!

Anyone notice that FURMAN is the second game on the VT schedule in '08?

Don't go dissin' Furman. They were 8-4 this year, with one of the losses being by 3 points to North Carolina and a 2 point loss at Coastal Carolina. Va Tech will have thier hands full.

Well, if I'm still in Kansas at the time, I'm all over that Mizzou game. From here its just about 200 miles down I-70, so thats close enough for me. I have to say, that stadium of their's is NICE. Its not that huge, but for its size its very classy.
