According to the Annapolis Capital:

"Navy defensive back decides to transfer
Miles started 11 games for Mids as a freshman

Navy's football program lost one of its more promising young players last
week when Jeromy Miles decided to transfer.

Head coach Paul Johnson granted Miles his release last week. The New Jersey
native hopes to enroll at another Division I school in time for the start of
the spring semester."

"According to sources, Miles was considering a transfer to Division I-A
Temple or Bowling Green in addition to Division I-AA Massachusetts. Navy
played the Owls and Minutemen last season and thus both schools would have
film on Miles."
