I remember running in to Mr. Winovich at Meijer prior to the UT game Pete's freshman year. We were both looking for those heat pack things to put in your pockets (turns out the game was played at 60 degrees at the glass bowl). I probably added to his perception as I recognized his name on his jacket and struck up a conversation about Pete, who was only a freshman but a guy I had tabbed during the recruiting stages. Nice guy.Spart43 wrote:This was very much the case with Corey. The place felt good and the people were like family. That made the final decision for him.
I know the Winovichs have always said that Bowling Green was like the town from the tv show/movie Pleasantville. "Everybody is so nice" is what I heard from them.
