Uniforms - You don't win football games with style points, the Falcons should just have plain uniforms. Just put the number on the jersey. I would use only white and orange for the shirt and pants, and brown for the numbers.
Helmet - One solid color, orange. No logo.
Field - Keep the grass. Penn State plays 7 home games and has no problem. BGSU played only 4 on campus. The weather problems are nearly identical. I don't want to read about any excuses.

And then we'll all eat gruel and talk of the glories of the revolution whilst digging pits in the gulag!

your right...and then we should deny any requests to put our games on tv...we only broadcast our scores to local newspapers via telegraph.
nobody from out of town allowed in games. ids will be checked.
it'd be like indy music...cool because only a few people care. we could keep our image looking bland and uninteresting and TEAR DOWN THAT dam* sebo center...its too flashy

If we had a tradition of uniforms like that, I could see that, but that isn't BGSU football, IMO.
We are trying to appeal not only to our fans, but to our student athletes. You wear Penn State's uniform because you buy into the tradition and history. I think a uniform DOES have a little to do with your program and recruiting. Just a little.
I would love a solid orange helmet, the Browns have that for their practices. Looks great.
About the Grass - Ohio State couldn't keep it nice and they have a gazillion dollars and a much larger staff than we would. It isn't an every year occurrence, but once every few years, you have a year like this one which kills a field. I don't care how well you treat it, it has to be replaced by something. Besides comparing BG with Penn State is....well, not fair.

OSU has problems because when the reconfigured their shoe that failed to take into account the water table... and seeing that they are ontop of the Old and Tangy... they were never going to be able to keep their field in good shape.

I bet they thought "why isn't the water table moving? We're THE Ohio State University, for heaven's sake!"

I'm a Bowling Green fan not a Penn State fan. So I'm glad everything isn't plain and that we keep changing things up! Gives me an excuse to buy more stuff!
