First, WEAK schedule for Ohio.
Second 3 MAC teams with 4 OOC games. So either we will have an 8 game MAC season, OR, because we've let in the ugly red-head step child that is Temple, The MAC season is 7 games + Temple.

Good to see another Big Ten team coming to a MAC stadium.

I get the feeling that these teams announced their out of conference schedule for two reasons. First, to let everyone know they weren't the schools that screwed up and scheduled 5 OOC this year. Second, they want their schedule made public so the MAC office can't screw them over and make them change any of thier games/dates.

I bet we won't announce our OOC schedule because we can't. :x

Toledo's OOC games for 2007 have not been officially announced by the University. UT has officially announced individual signed contracts with Iowa State, Purdue, and Kansas over the last couple of years. Liberty has officially announced they will play at Toledo in 2007.

However, I am told we do not have a signed contract back from Liberty yet and once we get it we will consider the game official too.

That said, you can bet that Toledo will be playing at Kansas and home games against Purdue, Iowa State, and Liberty. We've pretty much none this for months.

"The Ohio football team will make its 2007 season debut on Saturday, Sept. 1 versus Gardner-Webb at Peden Stadium."

Gardner-Webb? For real? I've heard of a lot of schools, and this one is a new one to me. I've at least heard of Louisiana-Lafayette. Sheesh.

Way to go OU glad to see that you are stepping up your competition this year ooc  I hope you don't have any thoughts of going undefeated and being a BCS buster because with that schedule it wouldn't happen if you beat every ooc team 100-0.... I for one take pride in scheduling tough opponents outside the MAC, not fluffer schools. Although it would be nice to start the season with a win against a good opponent, I am sick of us losing the first game every year. It really sets a bad tone for the rest of the season....

In the scheme of things, there's nothing wrong with OU's schedule:

1) They have 6 home games

2) They have one "money" game against a big boy (at VA Tech)

3) They actually get to host a I-A school (what a concept!)

Given the excrement coming out of our AD's mouth right now, I'd take this schedule over what I expect BGSU's to be next year.

I understand your points...... However, they still scheduled weak teams. I'm saying that they could have done better.

CMU led the MAC in attendance last year.
