Josh and Cole open the season at Nashville this Thursday, 3/1. Gotta get down to Cbus and see the former Falcons in action!

i dunno why but i always thought harris would make a good coach. he seems to know football and with his camps he must know how to communicate with people (albeit younger ones at the camps) but i think if he WAS good and got up to head coach he'd be loyal to bgsu

I haven't seen much about the Destroyers in the Dispatch leading up to the season. They have to cover the Buckeye footballers at the combine, you know. :roll: They did have a small blurb about a scrimmage from last week in which J5 played about a quarter. He will either be the backup or third-string behind a guy that the Destroyers brought in during the offseason that led the AFL in efficiency last year. Not sure about how much time Magner will get.

Me too. I thought Harris would be a great candidate for one of the positions on the offensive staff should he wish to pursue coaching.

BTW, anyone hear what's up with our three coaching staff vacancies?

I a in Columbus too, it seems we could get a decent sized BG cheering section.

He probably doesn't count against their roster limit since he's signed with an NFL team and playing in Europe, or something along those lines.

There's lots of reasons to think J5 might be a good coach. However:

Maybe he actually wouldn't be a good teacher.
Maybe he doesn't want to coach.
Maybe he doesn't want to coach right now.
Maybe he will be a good coach, but he isn't ready now.

I believe they will be in Philly this year. Sounds like a good reason to head to South Philly!

I saw on Channel 6 last night, both Cole and Josh being interviewed as Destroyers practice squad members. Anything to keep playing they both said. I always thought both of them would have made it on NFL squads. When I see Lance Moore from UT on the Saints, I just shake my head and wonder why Cole couldn't get on an NFL squad. Same goes for Josh.

Because they are products of an NCAA "system" and are believed to not have what it takes to learn an NFL "system" :roll:
<sarcasm>

However in all sincerity I wish them the best of luck with their future endevours, maybe their life paths will lead them back to our beloved university.
