Which will be first ...

1) A Toledo fan bad-mouthing our program

or

2) A BG fan using this as an indictment on Brandon

Even money, methinks.

I don't see how anybody could use an isolated incident like this against Brandon. I'm one of the most outspoken Brandon-indicters around, and even I see that as a really big stretch.

It's not like the whole team went to a party to beat someone up.

If he is fairly punished I don't think there will be either. Those who live in glass bowls shouldn't throw stones, so UT is out.

If he is dealt with firmly then I have no fault with Brandon for it either. We all screwed up when we were that age, it's impossible to get 85 perfect kids to field a team...you just have to establish discipline when needed.

I do wish Coach Brandon would take a page from Urbie's book and punish the entire team whenever somebody screwed up, but as long as he's fair & consistent with his punishments that's all it should take.

There are plenty of reasons to indict Brandon, no reason to nitpick on a small one ;)

OR

3) Some smartass makes sure you get your Fulmer Cup points. (Don't worry. OU is way out front right now.)

Trying...trying...trying...nope...can't force myself to give a crap. Kids get in fights all the time. As we all know, the threshold for the BG poilice to get involved in something is ridiculously low. As long as he didn't do something foolish like punch a Newlove or a Hanna, he should be OK.

File this one under "BFD"

Stuff like this happens at every school during the offseason... It was only a fight, and chaces are the kid on the losing end got what he deserved...

Foolish statement....were you there? For all we know he could of gone Joe O'Neil on some poor sap.

Maybe it was due to the fact that he stopped by Myles to pick up his order and it was Ham sandwiches and not Philly Cheesesteaks

How about...

3) A BG fan bashes another BG fan for bashing a Toledo fan and says we can't mock Toledo due to Amstutz's 4-2 record against us?

I don't know. Where there's trouble, neither Temple or C USA are ever far from the bottom of it.

Just another example of the "gangsta" style of athlete typically recruited by BG. And I don't have time to even start with your women's basketball thugs...

How is that a foolish statement? The kid probably had it coming...heck we don't even know how beat up either of them are. If anything I think this "incident" stems from boredom and our athletes should be training harder for the upcoming season. Boredom in athletes that play football sometimes leads to this. At least he didn't go PacMan Jones on the kid.

Fighting can be defined as two guys who had a misunderstanding pushing each other before the bouncers split them up and call the cops.

No one here knows what happened, so continuing to talk about it and make assumptions is asinine.

This will be taken care of internally. Period.
