You sure about that? Towards the end of the season, they were playing him more and more, as opposed to Thomas Jones, and Cedric was doing some very nice North-South, hard-hitting running.

Ummm.... but I would love to see the Popemobile back on the Bears.

ummm...I guess you missed when Thomas Jones dominated the playoffs. And when Thomas Jones got his second straight 1000 yard season. Why would you want a leader, a proven RB (the Bear's first proven RB since...Anderson?) a thousand yard rusher, an all around classy individual, someone who got you 112 yards on 15 carries and setting up your only offensive TD in the super bowl when you could have someone injury prone, overrated, a non receiving threat, 2 rushes for -1 yards and a fumble in the Super Bowl? 104 yards on 38 carries in the playoffs...way to step it up when it means the most.

I hope for the sake of your sanity that Benson steps it up from now on.

Wait.

You mean to tell me that we just traded a 1000-yard rusher for a draft pick? You've gotta be kidding me.

not to mention a second round draft pick.....

The browns seem like they have things figured out after a move like this.....

It wasn't even really a straight-up trade for a second round draft pick. It was a trade to move up 26 spots in the second round, which actually isn't horrible, but still the Bears should have gotten more for TJ. Personally I'm more worried with what's going to happen with Briggs.

As for PJ Pope's situation, I would think he's quite happy where he is now that Ahman Green is a Texan and he competition is now former Texan Vernand Morency, a player many of probably remember from the Motor City Bowl in Noah Herron, and a UK running back Arliss Beach. With competition like that, I think PJ likes where he's at very much so right now.

So I guess your point is PJ should be worried about what the Pack may or may not do in the draft. Just like Simms, Garcia, Plummer, Gradkowski, et al. should be worried about the rumor that the Bucs might select Quinn in this year's draft. s**t the Pack could trade for any number of RBs before the draft, the point is PJ's current situation doesn't look to bad to me regardless of rumors swirling about this year's draft or potential trades.

whoa whoa, settle down, i was just pointing out that marshawn is projected to go to the pack thats all. dont jump to conclusions so fast lol. now that i've thought about it more, i think the best situation for him would be to go to the giants with tiki gone. but we dont always get what we want.

I'm not upset one bit. It's just I don't put much stock into draft projections and feel PJ's current situation in Green Bay is more than acceptable. As for the Giants, it's an interesting suggestion other than they plan on Brandon Jacobs being their feature back and they just traded for Reuben Droughns.
