EMU Game Shown on Tape Delay In Bowling Green
Contest with Eagles will air on Channel 6 at 11 p.m.


Oct. 29, 2004

Bowling Green, Ohio - Saturday night's football game between Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan, which will be shown live in parts of Michigan on Comcast Local, will air on a tape delayed basis in Bowling Green only at 11 p.m., Saturday night. The game will air on Channel 6 for subscribers to Time Warner cable.

Comcast Local is available in Detroit, Lansing and Flint. Andrew Monaco and Bob Chmiel will call the action.

The final three games of the season also will be available on television. Western Michigan (1 p.m., Nov. 6) and Marshall (Noon, Nov. 13) will be on Fox Sports Ohio, and the Toledo game (7 p.m., Nov. 23) will air on ESPN2.

Cool, but it doesn't help us out-of-staters. Enjoy the game live and then the tape delay replay.

You might want to check to see if it isn't part of the ESPN+ thing. Two years ago when I was in Iowa the BG-OU game (72 pointer) was on ONN- the Ohio News Network and I was able to order it for 6.95.

In fact the lady at the cable couldn't find the game specifically so she just gave us the entire ESPN College Package - meaning any game that was on TV we got and she was supposed to shut it off that following monday, but she must have forgot so we got it all season. What a glorious, glorious thing.
