SPRING GAME NOTES

First off, i thought Sheehan and Glaud totally out played Turner. Partridge looked good as expected. Kelvin Davis looked pretty good on that tuchdown from Sheehan. And I gotta say it but Marques Parks looked pretty good. Jahmal Brown and Sanderson both looked good with their hits and tackling and Brown got a present when Turner put it right in his numbers. I thought Ransom might look like he could be good but didn't really break anything.

I haven't been a Turner fan since he had the incident a while ago, but actually I think Turner played the best out of the three QBs. He didn't do anything to hurt the team, and he played pretty well. I was hoping that some other QB would get the job, but I still see Turner the starter at the beginning of the season. Glaud didn't get to throw to many passes, and Sheehan was too much of a one read QB. He threw a couple of picks, and he had that one nice pass for a touchdown. Turner's pocket presence is far superior to Sheehan's.

I think the rest of the team looked pretty good. The special teams looked better, even though there was a blocked FG. Macon looked very good, but he also looked pretty good at the spring game last year, and he didn't amount to much during the season.

I'm pretty optimistic about this next season. :D

one note from me: I got sunburned.. boo

I am excited to see how this team turns out in the fall. I was happy to see the special teams, very much improved.

But what a great day for the spring game!

you might be getting glaud and turner mixed up like the announcer was because glaud threw a lot of passes. and you're right, sheehan did only look at his first reads, there were a couple times where a guy was wide open in the middle and he would throw the out to partridge.

and my pale ass got sunburned too lol

we got a kicked blocked? Hilarious.

It was a very low kick (the only poor kick of the day really) from a terrible hold. Even with the block, the place kicking looked at least 1000 times better today. Not a moment to soon either.

it was by a walk-on. Vrvilo made 3 FGs.

Did anyone tailgate and where??? Just curious how that worked out! I couldn't go; had to work concessions at the Ice Horizon's show.

2 of them were 41 yarders, including the winner, I think the other one was 30 yards

I work third shift and couldn't make it due to need for sleep...

Is the punt formation back to normal?

Statistically Glaud looked to be the most consistant (5-6, no sacks, no ints) Sheehan probably played against the better defense but there is no excuse for 3 sacks and 2 ints.

In all if we stay healthy there is no reason we cant win 8 or 9 games

I think AT is still in the lead for the starting job. Sheehan looked good on the deep pass and might have better touch on his deep throws but Turner has the poise and I feel he made better reads today. Glaud just doesnt have the arm strength right now in my opinion but could very well someday be the starter. He is a great leader on the field and even on the sidelines when hes not playin. I still think the job is very much up in the air still but I liked what I saw from AT the most. Only time will tell...

Our kicking game is much improved and I was real happy to see Sinisa hit the game winner. I think we may finally have a legit kicker.

And another note...we are gonna have a good defense this year....I loved what I saw from Briggs, Hardwick, Odro and all the DB's. Im pumped for the season...

I thought the defense won the majority of plays, really. Our offenses didn't average 4 yards per play.
