I don't mind playing Marshall....but once, just once, I'd like to get our home game first.

That was the first thing I thought of as well. It would be nice to have the security of being on the front end of a home and home. However, you never know what other scheduling factors and obstacles are in place, so if this is what they had to do to get it done, good for them. I don't think Marshall will big-league us. Then again, who figured FIU would.

Here's what I have learned over the past few years - no game is guaranteed until you see on the schedule that year.

I believe it when they unveil the 2009 and 2010 schedules.

I really wish they would disclose the buyout when making these announcements. Without that, you don't really know if this is good news or bad news.

It seems a little strange to have Brandon making comments about the game given his contract runs out before then. Isn't it presumptuous to assume he'll be a part of this? Or is it more presumptuous to consider that he may not be?

Well Dakich was talking about recruiting after what turned out to be his last game

The coach has to talk like he will be here until he is out the door.

As far as scheduling goes why do they even announce these? I feel like these are like the deals friends make of the oppostie sex to get married in 6 years if no one else better comes along.

Dear Marshall/BGSU: If no one else better comes along I want to play you in two years.

Does that mean we have Boise and Marshall home in 2010?

Has anyone been able to keep track of all the updates to our future OOC schedules?

When are we playing Michigan?

My thoughts, exactly. Every single time I see a new "agreement," thoughts of USF & FIU come immediately to mind.

If schools like FSU and FIU can screw *us out of home and home games, why would any more reputable school in the country show us any respect?

Its time to start earning that respect. I don't know how they can do that other than beat the snot out of everyone this year, and maybe actually stand up for our contracts.

I'm not sure I enjoyed reading Brandon prattle about a home and home "with a team the caliber of Marshall."

Image

But this is a good series. I'm glad to have it. We could do it again, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm with SF...although I won't get too excited until I see it printed on the little sked cards.

BTW SF, nice pic of that scoreboard. What a great game that was for BGSU. Too bad Teddy P ran outta gas on the late game pick...63-35 would have looked better. :-D

Notice who has the ball, and where it is on the field?

The down side is that we are doomed to have to deal with Marshall fans coming into our community again. Is that worth it? :)

On the other hand, we can rip them without mercy if they are still stinking it up like they are now in CUSA.
