Dont go around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your life,
Theres a Brandon on the rise.
Did you know that John Fogarty was sued for plagiarizing his own work?

"I'm a jungle musician. I can only write one way and it all sounds the same."
I believe that wa a near word for word on his defense. Fantasy, the label that owned the rights to Creedence's stuff, sued him over Old Man Down the Road which they said was identical for all practical purposes to, I believe, Run Through the Jungle". Fogarty admitted it but said all his other stuff sounded the same too and Fantasy lost the suit.
Just hijacked my own thread.

What didn't you get- The Fogarty thing, Why Brandon was seen to be a coach on the rise or Where the Brandon rising reference came from? Can't help with the middle one, but the first option is explained on the post above and if you didn't see it-the third option is at the bottom of the article.

Flip,
Saw that when CCR was on VH1's "Behind the Music". Seems his brother, Tom, stuck wtih the record lable...even to his death bed. John simply couldn't believe his own brother turned his back on him. I like CCR and Fogarty's tunes. Good stuff....

I've seen John a few times, including once for FREE at the Rock Hall of Fame. Puts on a great show.
I really enjoy CCR and Fogerty's solo stuff as well.
I always sing "Stuck in Lodi again" when I see signs for Lodi in the Akron area

it looks more like a reflection of how the schools did last year, and how he thinks they will do this year and clearly can not be an assessment of coaching abilities.
