Per yesterday's Blade, the NCAA approached the University about a really large bet placed before the Kent State game in 2006. It doesn't appear that anything much came of it, but you have to question the wisdom of not getting this out when the Scooter story first broke. At that time the school said it had no knowlledge of the point shaving allegations...but not mentioning the 2006 inquiry makes it look like they're trying to massage the story a bit and perhaps, hide some thigs.
Often times when a mistake is made by a high profile person or institution, the s**t hits the fan over their actions after the matter becoems public. The cover up becomes the crime...,
